After completing The Sellability Score questionnaire, you will immediately receive a Sellability Score out of 100, along with instructions for interpreting your results.

Once you receive your Sellability Score, you’ll be given the option of having a Sellability Score Professional Advisor conduct a Sellability Assessment. This includes a 24–page Sellability Report and a consultation with a Sellability Score Professional Advisor. Your full report includes your performance on eight factors linked to sellability, along with suggestions for improving your score and the corresponding value of your company. The higher your Sellability Score, the more sellable – and valuable – your business is likely to be.

The Sellability Score was developed using a quantitative survey of business owners with between $50,000 and $100,000,000 in annual revenue. In addition, we completed a quantitative survey of Merger & Acquisition (M&A) professionals. Using various statistical techniques including a factor, regression and correlation analysis, we were able to create an algorithm that predicts the sellability of a company.

The Sellability Score was created by a team of research professionals led by John Warrillow, the bestselling author of Built to Sell: Creating a Business That Can Thrive Without You. John has started and exited four companies, including his most recent business, which was acquired by a public company. In 2008, John was recognized by BtoB Magazine’s "Who’s Who" list as one of America’s most influential business-to-business marketers.
