Your Privacy: Overview
This privacy policy ("Policy") tells you about the information that The Sellability Score© and its owner, Built to Sell Inc. ("Built to Sell," "The Sellability Score," "we," "us" or "our") collects from you in connection with your use of www.BuiltToSell.com and www.SellabilityScore.com, our private and/or white label versions of the same (collectively, the "Sites") and how such information is used.
This Policy does not apply to information collected from outside the Sites, such as information disclosed in offline correspondence or through other contacts with Built to Sell representatives, unless indicated otherwise. This Policy also does not apply to other entities’ websites that are not controlled or operated by Built to Sell, even if Built to Sell provides links to those websites.
Types of Data We Collect
The only personally identifiable data that Built to Sell collects is your name, email address, business name, and business address.
Built to Sell also collects business information, where you choose to complete online forms, and/or you submit business information in connection with The Sellability Score, which business information may be entered or obtained and associated with your personally identifiable information, such as, but not limited to, your company’s revenue and profitability.
Built to Sell may also collect certain non-personally identifiable information in connection with the operation of the Sites or as otherwise disclosed herein, including IP address, HTTP request headers, browser or operating system information, publicly available third party data associated with your business, and data on advertisements or links on which you click.
Where you provide Built to Sell any personally identifiable information, business information, or other non-personally identifiable information, you are representing and warranting that you have the right and authority to provide such information.
Types of Data We Collect Through Technology
Accessing the Sites may result in the placement of a "cookie" or flash object on your computer by Built to Sell or third party advertisers. This is done for such purposes as, but not limited to, enabling you to use our Sites, for security purposes, to make your repeated experience more convenient, to maintain your authentication, to produce usage statistics, for debugging purposes, to allow third parties to deliver targeted advertising to you when you visit our Sites or third party websites, and to compile and analyze user information.
Cookies are small pieces of information that a website sends to your computer’s hard drive while you are viewing a website. Built to Sell may use both those cookies which expire once you close your browser and those which stay on your computer until you delete them. You have the ability to accept or decline cookies, by changing your web browser’s settings. If you disable your cookies, however, you may not be able to access the Sites.
Built to Sell uses third parties, such as advertising and lead generation companies, to track and collect information about you and your online activities so that such third parties can deliver targeted advertising to you when you visit the Sites or other third party websites. Built to Sell does not provide these companies your personally identifiable information. These companies may collect and use information about your visits to the Sites and other websites in order to provide you with advertisements and information regarding goods and services which may be of interest to you based on your browsing activities. When you click on third party advertisements or links, you will leave the Sites and go to other websites. During this process, a third party could collect personally identifiable information or other data from you. Built to Sell’s display of advertisements or links to another company or site is for your convenience and does not signify our endorsement of such company, site, its practices, or the contents of the site. Built to Sell has no control over, does not review, and our Policy does not apply to these other companies, sites, content, or to any collection of data after you click on an advertisement of or link to a third party.
Built to Sell’s Use of Data
Personally Identifiable InformationExcept as set forth below, Built to Sell does not share your personally identifiable information with third parties, except with our affiliated companies and service providers in accordance with applicable law. Your personally identifiable information may be sent to a licensed Sellability Score Professional Advisor. Our Sellability Score Professional Advisors are third party companies that have each agreed to keep your data confidential.
Built to Sell may use your personally identifiable information for, but not limited to, the following purposes: (i) to provide you with information, products or services requested by you; (ii) to improve the services offered through the Sites; (iii) to troubleshoot problems with the Sites; (iv) to customize your experience or homepage on the Sites; (v) to enable you to display certain information in or in association with your user profile on the Sites; (vi) to enhance or improve your user experience; (vii) to enforce our terms and agreements with you or to otherwise effectuate our rights and remedies under applicable law or to protect Built to Sell, the Sites, or Site users from actual or threatened harm; or (viii) to contact you with more information about the Sites, Built to Sell, Built to Sell’s affiliated companies, or Built to Sell products and services.
Built to Sell may disclose your personally identifiable information in connection with a sale or merger of our business or the Sites, so long as the acquirer agrees to be subject to the same terms with respect to the use of personally identifiable information as are set forth herein.
Built to Sell makes a concerted effort to restrict access to your personally identifiable information to those employees and service providers who have a need to know that information to provide information, products or services to you, and to maintain physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards to guard your personally identifiable information.
Built to Sell reserves the right to disclose your personally identifiable information (i) if required to do so by law or legal process, or otherwise requested by any law enforcement officer or agency acting under the cover of law; (ii) if necessary or appropriate to protect or defend the rights or property of Built to Sell; or (iii) if necessary or appropriate to act in urgent circumstances to protect the safety or security of the public or of users of Built to Sell’s products, services, and/or the Sites.
Built to Sell may use all other data and information you provide on the Built to Sell Sites, including your business information, to create, update, merge, analyze, maintain, or enhance its database of business records, which business records are used to create, and are included within, the publicly available Sites.
Built to Sell may also track, compile, and analyze business information and/or non-identifying information; and this analytics information, as well as aggregated usage and other aggregated data, and volume analytics, use and similar statistical information, from and about our users is the property of Built to Sell and as such may be used by Built to Sell and/or provided to third parties by Built to Sell without use of the personally identifiable information.
Built to Sell may disclose, license, transfer, sell, use, and/or otherwise share all data, business information, and non-personally identifiable information you provide us with third parties and/or the public generally on the Sites or through any other medium of Built to Sell’s choosing at Built to Sell’s discretion. Built to Sell reserves the right to disclose such data and information to third parties or the public generally in its discretion.
Security
Unfortunately, no security system or system of transmitting data over the Internet can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. As a result, while we undertake commercially reasonable efforts to protect your personally identifiable information, we cannot guarantee the security of our servers, the means by which information is transmitted between your computer and our servers, or any information provided to us or to any third party through or in connection with the Sites. You provide all such information entirely at your own risk.
Choice and Opt-Out Preferences
You may receive email communications from Built to Sell relating to the Sites or other products or services. You will have the ability to unsubscribe from marketing communications by means of a link provided in any such emails that are sent to you by Built to Sell. Any email opt-out shall not apply to emails permitted by applicable law, such as messages relating to any transaction you have requested or your relationship with us.
As discussed above, you may also opt-out of having information collected by or shared with third parties, such as for the purpose of serving targeted advertisements, by contacting us at info@BuilttoSell.com for more information or to opt-out. Additionally, if, at any time after using the service, you change your mind about allowing your information to be shared with third parties, please send us a written request specifying your new choice, and we will make every effort to accommodate your new choice within 30 calendar days of receipt of your request.
Access to your Information
At your request, where the law requires us to do so, Built to Sell will confirm what personal information we have about you, update your information, remove your information, and/or correct any inaccuracies in such personal information. We will make every concerted effort to respond to your request in a timely manner.
Your Acceptance of this Policy and Revisions to this Policy
Built to Sell reserves the right to update and revise this Policy at any time. You can determine if this Policy has been revised since your last visit by referring to the "Effective Date of Statement" date at the top of this page. Your use of the Sites constitutes your acceptance of the terms of this Policy as amended or revised by us, and you should therefore review this Policy regularly to ensure that you are aware of its terms.
